Nord Stream bombing suspect to Hollywood fixer: Who is Volodymyr Zhuravlev?
Ukrainian professional scuba diver Volodymyr Zhuravlev has been arrested in Croatia in connection with the 2022 Nord Stream pipeline explosions. German authorities allege Zhuravlev is a suspect in the sabotage, which damaged gas pipelines connecting Russia and Germany. Zhuravlev was reportedly working as a consultant on a Hollywood film set in Croatia at the time of his arrest. He had previously evaded arrest in Poland, where a court ruled against his extradition, citing jurisdictional issues and the potential for the sabotage to be viewed as a defensive act. German prosecutors are still investigating the case, having previously charged another individual they claim acted on behalf of Ukrainian intelligence. The Ukrainian government denies any involvement in the explosions.
