Saudi Arabia’s MBS visits Macron in France: What to expect
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) is on a two-day state visit to France, meeting President Emmanuel Macron. The leaders are expected to sign agreements in health, transport, and energy, with a potential deal for a Dragon Ball-themed amusement park also discussed. Bilateral discussions will cover regional security, including energy routes bypassing the Strait of Hormuz, the war in Iran, the conflict in Palestine, and developments in Syria and Lebanon. The visit builds on existing economic and political ties, formalized by the Saudi-French Strategic Partnership Council. MBS's trip also follows Saudi Arabia's recent signing of a mutual defense agreement with Turkey and Pakistan.
