Swedish sword attack victim was 17-year-old girl, police say
A 17-year-old girl was killed in a sword attack at Brinell School in Fagersta, Sweden, on Friday afternoon. Two boys, aged 12 and 17, were seriously injured, and a third person sustained minor injuries. An 18-year-old man, believed to be a former student and wearing a helmet, was arrested and is being treated as a murder and attempted murder case. Police fired shots upon arrival at the scene before detaining the suspect. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and opposition leader Magdalena Andersson visited the school, where flower tributes have been laid. The region was briefly in a state of emergency following the incident.
