The USS Abraham Lincoln arrives in Thailand following its Middle East deployment
The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier arrived in Laem Chabang, Thailand, early Wednesday after a lengthy deployment in the Middle East supporting the U.S. war against Iran. The ship, carrying approximately 5,000 service members, completed a record-setting uninterrupted at-sea period of over 250 days. Concerns had been raised regarding the crew's mental health and supply shortages due to the extended deployment. The USS George Washington has since relieved the Lincoln in the Middle East. Thai officials stated the Lincoln's stop in Thailand is for rest and recovery before its return to the U.S.
