Festival honouring Dolly Parton set for Nashville and London
Dolly Parton's estate has announced DollyFest, a two-day festival honoring the late singer's life and legacy, scheduled for two consecutive weekends in London and Nashville in 2027. This event will serve as a replacement for a traditional public memorial, fulfilling Parton's own vision for a celebratory gathering. An earlier version of the festival, conceived by Parton herself, was canceled due to her health. The estate emphasized that DollyFest is intended to be a "party of a lifetime" as Parton desired, rather than a somber memorial. Parton passed away at age 80 on August 25th after a battle with cancer and was privately laid to rest in Nashville.
