Christian metal band Demon Hunter sues Netflix over KPop Demon Hunters
Christian metal band Demon Hunter, through its corporate entity Hyde Lane, has filed a lawsuit against Netflix, Netflix Studios, and AEG Presents. The suit, filed on Tuesday, alleges trademark infringement due to Netflix's film "KPop Demon Hunters." Demon Hunter claims the film's success has negatively impacted their established identity and commercial prospects. The band, formed in 2000, also points to an announced global concert tour for "KPop Demon Hunters" in partnership with AEG Presents as contributing to consumer confusion. The lawsuit asserts that the defendants have created a substantial likelihood of confusion among consumers.
