‘Really terrified’: Milo Yiannopoulos speaks out after deportation from US
Far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos has spoken out after being detained and deported from the US, describing the experience as "terrifying." He was arrested by US federal agents in New Orleans and subsequently held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The Department of Homeland Security stated Yiannopoulos overstayed his visa and was issued a deportation order after missing an immigration hearing. Yiannopoulos disputes this, claiming his green card was cancelled and notices were sent to an old address. He also suggested his changing political views might have contributed to his deportation, expressing shame for his past support of Trump's immigration policies. Yiannopoulos intends to fight his deportation in court, calling it unlawful.
