Suspect in Virginia State University shooting found hiding in dorm closet
A 19-year-old non-student, Camron Harris, was arrested in connection with a shooting that injured five people on the Virginia State University (VSU) campus. Harris was found hiding in a dorm closet over 14 hours after the incident, which occurred early Saturday morning. Authorities transported Harris to jail, where he faces charges including malicious wounding and firearm use. One victim sustained life-threatening injuries, while the other four had non-life-threatening wounds, with at least one confirmed VSU student among them. The motive for the shooting is currently under investigation, and VSU stated there is no further immediate threat to the campus community.
