Teen girl charged with murder over recording of San Diego mosque attack
A 17-year-old girl from North Carolina has been charged with murder by aiding and abetting in connection with a May 18 attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego. Prosecutors allege she recorded a livestream of the attack, which resulted in the deaths of three people, and also published a manifesto from the two teenage gunmen. The girl faces three murder charges and one count of conspiracy. The attackers, aged 17 and 18, reportedly aimed to kill as many people as possible and have their actions recorded. They also planned further attacks on a Jewish temple and an African American high school. Authorities recovered an arsenal of weapons and writings containing racist and antisemitic views from the shooters.
