Uganda to withdraw from Invictus Games ‘out of respect for King Charles’, says military chief

Kainerugaba cited internal divisions within the Ministry of Defence regarding the "Harry-Meghan nonsense" as a reason for his action, emphasizing his support for the monarchy. This move follows an official letter from King Charles clarifying the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's status as non-working royals. Uganda had previously announced its participation in the Invictus Games, with the defense minister standing alongside Prince Harry at an event in London.
