Trump waves green flag kicking off high-speed IndyCar race through Washington
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump participated in the inaugural Freedom 250 Grand Prix, an IndyCar race held on the streets of Washington D.C. on Sunday. The event marked the conclusion of a series of summer activities celebrating the nation's 250th birthday. The President took a ceremonial lap in his presidential limousine before the race, which saw drivers reach speeds up to 190 mph on the 1.7-mile track. This marked the first time professional road racing has been hosted in the capital. The event also featured a flyover by the new Air Force One as the Trumps reached the finish line.
