Duke and Duchess of Sussex granted security review after return to UK
The Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec) will review the publicly funded police protection for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their return to the UK as full-time residents. This marks the first risk assessment for Meghan since the couple stepped back as working royals in 2020. Ravec, which oversees tax-funded security for royalty and public figures, commissioned new risk assessments for both Harry and Meghan. The committee has requested the couple's schedules to inform their decision. This review comes after Harry lost a legal challenge regarding the withdrawal of automatic tax-funded security when they ceased being working royals. The couple's children recently switched schools, reportedly due to security concerns.
