Zimbabwe minibus carrying church members crashes, killing at least 27
At least 27 people were killed in a head-on collision between a minibus and a haulage truck in central Zimbabwe on Friday evening. The crash occurred near Chivhu, approximately 140km south of Harare, when the truck attempted to overtake another vehicle and struck the minibus. The minibus was carrying members of an African Christian denomination who were traveling to a conference. State broadcaster ZBC News reported that 23 people died at the scene, with others succumbing to injuries later. This incident adds to a series of deadly road accidents in Zimbabwe, often attributed to poor road conditions and overloaded public transport.
