Tate brothers charged with further trafficking and sex crimes in Romania

Andrew and Tristan Tate have been charged with further trafficking and sex crimes in Romania. Romanian investigators allege Andrew Tate controlled a woman through surveillance and aggression, forcing her into sex acts for financial gain and moving her to Romania to continue exploitation. He is also separately accused of having sex with a minor in Romania. Prosecutors are seeking the confiscation of four luxury cars valued at £710,000, believing they were purchased with laundered money. The Tates, currently in a Miami jail fighting extradition to the UK over separate charges, deny all allegations. It remains unclear if Romanian authorities will seek their extradition from the US, and an indictment must be reviewed by a judge before a trial can commence.

Andrew Tate, a social media influencer, has been indicted in Romania on charges of trafficking minors, sex with a minor, and money laundering. The indictment alleges that Tate and his brother Tristan recruited victims by falsely claiming to seek a relationship or marriage before forcing them to produce sexually exploitative content for a webcam business. One of the alleged victims was 15 when she was seduced by Andrew Tate in Britain in 2012, then moved to Bucharest, where physical violence and psychological intimidation were used to coerce her into producing indecent images of children. The brothers allegedly kept $1.25m from the victim's earnings, laundered through luxury car purchases. Romanian prosecutors have rejected the allegations made against the Tate brothers, who have denied all wrongdoing. The case adds further legal pressure on Andrew Tate, who is currently in a Miami prison pending potential extradition to the UK on rape charges.
