Norwegian crown princess's son found guilty of two counts of rape
Marius Borg Høiby, the 29-year-old son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit, has been found guilty of two counts of rape by the Oslo District Court and sentenced to four years in prison. The court cleared him of two other rape charges but convicted him on several other offenses. Prosecutors had sought a longer sentence, while his defense requested a shorter term and has the option to appeal the verdict. Høiby, who is not a royal figure despite growing up within the family, appeared via video link for the ruling. His lawyers have previously sought his release to spend time with his mother, who is seriously ill.
