Tadej Pogacar wins Tour de France for a record-equalling fifth time
Tadej Pogacar has won his fifth Tour de France title, marking his third consecutive victory in the prestigious cycling race. This achievement places him in an elite group alongside Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault, and Miguel Indurain, who have also won the Tour five times. Pogacar secured his win by safely completing the final stage into Paris, which was won by Mathieu van der Poel in a photo finish. Belgium's Remco Evenepoel finished second overall, with Mexico's Isaac del Toro in third. Pogacar expressed gratitude to the fans, France, and his competitors for a hard-fought race over the past three weeks.
