British woman who was kidnapped in Malawi rescued by police after shootout
A British woman, Nusrat Osman, was rescued by Malawian police in Blantyre after being kidnapped from outside her home on September 11th. A shootout occurred during the rescue operation, resulting in the deaths of four alleged abductors. A police officer was also injured but is in stable condition. Osman, a 47-year-old auditor and mother of two, is reportedly safe.
