Sikh separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun stated on Tuesday that both the FBI and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have informed him of a new, credible threat to his life. FBI agents visited Pannun last Thursday, advising him against travel until the threat is resolved and to notify them in advance if he must travel. The RCMP issued a similar warning by telephone on Tuesday. These warnings come as an individual from India is scheduled for sentencing later this year for a 2023 plot against Pannun's life. Neither law enforcement agency provided specific details about the uncovered plot.
