Bill Gates warns of AI’s impact, urges the US and China to cooperate

Gates believes world leaders are not adequately preparing for the AI era due to its unprecedented pace and scale of potential impacts, stating, "This time really is different." He stressed the need to begin building a framework for AI governance immediately, as it will take years to develop.

In a recent 6,000-word essay, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates proposed the concept of "human reserved" jobs to protect certain roles from AI automation. He likened this idea to nature reserves, emphasizing that some human-centric tasks, particularly in healthcare and emotional support, are irreplaceably valuable.
