Four arrested over fatal shooting of South African boxer Zolani Tete
South African police have arrested four individuals, aged 22 to 28, in connection with the fatal shooting of two-time boxing world champion Zolani Tete. Tete, 38, was killed outside his home in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape, last Friday evening. One of the four suspects has been formally charged with murder. A 27-year-old woman who was with Tete at the time survived the attack and is currently hospitalized. Tete, a former WBF flyweight and WBO bantamweight champion, was preparing for a return to professional boxing after a four-year ban ended in July.
