31 dead in Pakistan after suicide bomber, gunmen attack police complex
At least 31 people have died following a suicide car bombing and subsequent gun attack at a police headquarters in Kohat, Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when an attacker drove an explosives-laden vehicle into the Old Police Lines complex. Gunmen then stormed the compound while police officers and their families were praying in a mosque. Among the deceased are 16 police personnel. Fighting was reportedly ongoing as of Saturday. The targeted complex houses various police units, including the Counter Terrorism Department and Special Branch.
