Sydney policeman allegedly disguised himself as Uber Eats rider before murders

Sydney policeman Beaumont Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to the 2024 murders of his ex-partner, Luke Davies, and his new boyfriend, Jesse Baird. The prosecution alleges Lamarre-Condon disguised himself as an Uber Eats driver and waited outside Baird's home for three hours before entering with a key. He is accused of shooting Baird in the kitchen and killing Davies in the bedroom as he attempted to call for help, intending to eliminate him as a witness. Lamarre-Condon allegedly planned Baird's murder and attempted to cover up the killings afterward, including sending messages from Baird's phone. He had previously offered to plead guilty to manslaughter for Baird's death, which was rejected. Police were alerted after bloodied items belonging to the victims were found in a Sydney bin.

Beau Lamarre-Condon, a former police officer, is on trial in Sydney's Supreme Court, having pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and one charge of aggravated break and enter. The court heard that Lamarre-Condon allegedly developed an "infatuation and obsession" with victim Jesse Baird after a romantic involvement ended. Prosecutors allege Lamarre-Condon planned the murders, disguised himself as an Uber Eats rider, and used his police service weapon to shoot Baird and his partner, Luke Davies, at Baird's home in February 2024. Their bodies were later found approximately 200km away. Lamarre-Condon offered to plead guilty to manslaughter, but this was rejected by the prosecution. The trial is expected to last several months.
