State department to offer Trump-branded US passports nationwide

The State Department will begin offering limited-edition passports featuring a portrait of President Donald Trump nationwide next month. These "patriot passports," designed to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, were previously only available at the Washington D.C. passport office. Twenty-seven passport agencies across the country will offer these special documents, with some locations hosting one-day events starting August 8th. Applicants must apply in person on designated days to receive this commemorative version, which includes Trump's image and signature on an interior page, and a modified cover design. The government plans to issue over 250,000 of these passports.
