British man fined €3,000 for causing two-year-old son’s death in Cyprus
A British man, Joshua Foster, has been fined €3,000 in Cyprus for causing his two-year-old son's death. The incident occurred on July 12th at the King Evelthon Beach Hotel and Resort in Chlorakas when Foster placed his son on a fourth-floor windowsill to show him a view. Foster believed the window was closed and lost control of his son, who fell nearly 12 meters to his death. Foster pleaded guilty to causing death through a reckless, rash, or dangerous act. The court heard that Foster had not realized the window section was open. While alcohol was detected in his blood, it was not considered a significant factor in the case. Foster expressed remorse, and the court noted his lack of previous convictions.
