Ecstasy, a synthetic psychoactive drug also known as MDMA, is a substance that can lead to severe legal consequences when trafficked. Authorities discovered approximately 70,000 ecstasy tablets, weighing around 26 kilograms, concealed within his luggage. Further investigations revealed that the pilot tested positive for methamphetamine, MDMA, and cocaine following his flight. This incident highlights the ongoing challenges of drug smuggling, particularly within international travel hubs. The pilot now faces the potential for the death penalty in Indonesia, underscoring the stringent penalties associated with drug trafficking in the country.
