Al Jazeera reporter’s journey from Jordan to Iraq

In March 2026, Al Jazeera reporter Nicolas Haque traveled from Amman, Jordan to Baghdad, Iraq, a 900km journey, to cover the US-Israeli war on Iran. Haque documented his experiences along the route. His report focused on the security measures he observed and the general public's reaction to the ongoing conflict. Despite the war, Haque found that people in the region were largely unaffected and calm. The purpose of his deployment was to provide on-the-ground coverage of the US-Israeli war on Iran from Baghdad.
