Raw emotions as mourners attend Mass for Swiss bar fire victims

A memorial Mass was held in Crans Montana, Switzerland, for the victims of the New Year's Eve fire at Le Constellation bar. Hundreds of mourners gathered outside St. Christopher's Church to remember the 40 people killed, many of whom were teenagers, and those still hospitalized with severe burns. All the deceased have been identified through DNA and dental records due to the severity of the burns, and their bodies are being returned to their families. The service was marked by raw emotion, with some attendees fainting. Following the Mass, survivors participated in a silent procession towards the bar, where a growing shrine of flowers and tributes has been established. Firefighters and rescue workers, considered heroes by the community, also attended the memorial.
