Donald Trump has resumed public criticism of Pope Leo, alleging the Pope supports Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons. This renewed feud comes as Senator Marco Rubio is scheduled to visit the Vatican. The article does not specify when this latest exchange occurred, but it highlights a recurring tension between Trump and Pope Leo. The Pope has previously expressed concerns about Trump's policies, and Trump's current accusations appear to be a response to these or other perceived disagreements. The context of Rubio's visit suggests a potential diplomatic angle to the situation, though the article focuses on Trump's direct attacks on the Pope.
