Former Hong Kong school teacher guilty of molesting student

A former Hong Kong school teacher, Cheng Hon-sze, has been found guilty of two counts of indecent assault by a District Court judge at Tsuen Wan Court. The guilty verdict relates to two incidents where Cheng groped his then 15-year-old pupil and made her perform an obscene act on him between May and October 2020. However, Cheng was cleared of seven other counts due to the girl's failure to expressly refuse his advances or because the acts involved were not inherently indecent. The guilty verdict is pending sentencing for Cheng. The incidents occurred while Cheng worked as a teacher at the school. Cheng is currently remanded in custody awaiting his sentence.
