The image appeared in the background of a CCTV documentary titled "Securing Victory," during a segment where People's Liberation Army Rocket Force officers discussed exercises and combat scenarios. While the image was slightly out of focus, its layout of the runway and surrounding urban development matched Kadena's. This broadcast marks a rare instance of Chinese state media seemingly depicting a prominent US military installation in Japan as a potential target for the PLA's missile force.
