EventOn 18 January 2026, a high-speed passenger train derailed in the municipality of Adamuz, in the province of Córdoba, Spain. The derailment occurred on a straight section of the Madrid–Seville high-speed rail line that was last refurbished in May 2025. A second train crashed into it and was also derailed.
