This decision follows significant public backlash against West's booking, stemming from his widely publicized antisemitic statements, embrace of Nazi imagery, and promotion of far-right conspiracy theories. Sponsors like Pepsi and Diageo withdrew their support in response to the controversy. UK Jewish groups threatened protests if the festival proceeded with West.
