Egelsbach

Egelsbach is a town in Germany, currently notable for two distinct reasons. Firstly, it is part of a testing area for autonomous vehicles. The KIRA project, involving self-driving cars, is expanding its operations to include Egelsbach, Darmstadt and Langen, with additional vehicles being deployed in the area. The state of Hesse, in collaboration with Thuringia, is investing in new helicopters to replace the aging fleet. Four of these new helicopters are destined for the police aviation squadron stationed in Egelsbach.
