Graubünden

Graubünden, also known as Grisons, is a canton located in the south-eastern Swiss Alps. This region has recently been the scene of two tragic incidents. In one event, a tourist coach carrying 48 Dutch passengers overturned between Susch and Zernez, resulting in several fatalities and injuries. A large-scale rescue operation involving helicopters was immediately deployed. In a separate incident, a fire completely destroyed a restaurant with apartments in the town of Thusis. This blaze left five people missing and eight others injured, with the cause still under investigation by the Graubünden cantonal police. These events highlight the region's vulnerability to accidents and emergencies, drawing significant attention to its safety and emergency response capabilities.
