Kalogi

Kalogi is a town located in Sudan's South Kordofan region. It has become newsworthy due to recent deadly attacks during Sudan's ongoing civil war between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). On Thursday, December 4, 2025, a drone attack, allegedly carried out by the RSF, targeted a kindergarten and a hospital in Kalogi. These attacks resulted in the deaths of at least 114 people, a significant number of whom were children. The Sudan Doctors' Network has described the attacks as 'deliberate suicide-drone attacks' targeting civilian facilities. The RSF has not yet commented on the accusations. These events highlight the escalating violence and the devastating impact of the Sudanese civil war on civilian populations, particularly in vulnerable areas like Kalogi.
