Sudan

Sudan is a country in northeastern Africa experiencing ongoing conflict, human rights abuses, and humanitarian crises. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group, has been accused of genocide and has amassed a vast property portfolio in Dubai. Thousands of people are detained in poor conditions by the RSF, while a measles outbreak has killed 70 in East Darfur's Labado district due to healthcare collapse. The war has also led to a struggle for survival among refugees returning home, with many facing chronic needs for investment in basic services like homes, water supplies, and health provision. Additionally, there have been reports of Colombian mercenaries backing the RSF and Iranian nationals trafficking arms to Sudan on behalf of the Iranian government.
