Lianyungang

Lianyungang is a city located in Jiangsu province, China. It is currently newsworthy due to the construction of a world-first triad reactor system intended to power a world-class petrochemical complex. This project combines two third-generation Hualong One pressurized water reactors with one fast neutron reactor. The ultra-high-temperature steam produced by this system, reaching up to 1,000 degrees Celsius, will be used to break molecules apart in the petrochemical processes.
