The Bucha district, located near Kyiv, Ukraine, is a residential and administrative area. More recently, the Bucha district has become newsworthy again following a significant Russian attack. On August 29, 2026, an overnight Russian assault targeted a warehouse in the district. The attack resulted in a major fire and subsequent explosions. Tragically, at least 27 people were killed in the incident, with officials indicating that the death toll might rise.
