Myrmekion

Myrmekion is an ancient city located in Crimea, Ukraine. It is now newsworthy due to allegations of illegal archaeological excavations conducted by Russian archaeologist Alexander Butyagin, an academic from Russia's Hermitage Museum. Butyagin is accused of partially destroying the site through these unauthorized activities.
