No. 10 Downing Street

No. 10 Downing Street serves as the official residence and principal workplace of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. It is a historic building located in Westminster, London, and is the focal point of the UK government's executive power. Currently, the office is associated with Prime Minister Andy Burnham, who has recently announced a significant initiative to address rough sleeping across England. Burnham has pledged an additional £100 million and is urging local leaders to provide housing solutions for all rough sleepers by Christmas, framing it as a national drive akin to a Covid-style campaign. This focus on social welfare and domestic policy highlights the government's current priorities. Furthermore, reports indicate potential international policy shifts, with the UK considering sanctions against Israeli settlements, a move that could signal a divergence from previous stances and potentially impact relations with international partners.
