Panthéon

Recently, the Panthéon has been in the news for two distinct reasons. Firstly, there is a growing movement advocating for the interment of Samuel Paty, a teacher assassinated in 2020 for showing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in class. This collective believes his inclusion would honor his commitment to freedom of expression. Secondly, the Panthéon served as the location for a naturalization ceremony where 230 individuals, including Fousseynou Cissé, who heroically saved six people from a fire, were granted French citizenship.
