Sub-Saharan Africa

Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) is a geographically and culturally diverse region facing a complex set of challenges. Recent news highlights economic struggles, with a World Bank report indicating that many SSA countries are poorer than before the COVID-19 pandemic. While the Democratic Republic of Congo shows resilient economic growth, governance issues need addressing. Education is also a major concern, as millions of children globally, including in SSA, lack access to schooling. Furthermore, religious persecution, particularly against Christians, is a growing crisis in the region, with Nigeria identified as a major epicenter of violence. These issues underscore the need for international attention and intervention to support development, improve education, and protect vulnerable populations in Sub-Saharan Africa. Tunisia is also seeking to increase trade with Sub-Saharan Africa through new trade corridors.
