Timure

Timure is a village located in the mountainous Rasuwa district of Nepal, near the border with Tibet, China. This region, with a population of approximately 50,000, has recently been severely impacted by torrential flash floods. The floods, which also affected areas like Syapru Besi, have caused widespread destruction, sweeping away houses and roads. Critical infrastructure, including bridges and power projects, has been damaged or destroyed. Authorities in both Nepal and Tibet have expressed concerns about potential major casualties, with some individuals reported missing in the Gyirong county of Tibet following a mudslide. The recent events highlight the vulnerability of communities in this Himalayan border region to natural disasters and the significant challenges in recovery and rescue efforts.
