Cholula's relevance stems from ongoing negotiations between Unilever and McCormick. Unilever is reportedly in advanced talks to sell a significant portion of its food business to McCormick. This deal, potentially worth billions, would see Unilever controlling a majority stake (65%) in a new entity combining brands like Knorr and Pot Noodle from Unilever with McCormick's existing condiment and spice portfolio, which includes Cholula and French's.
