Fun Coffee, a coffee investment venture based in Vietnam, is currently at the center of a significant cryptocurrency scam. The organization, which established a presence in Hong Kong last year, promoted itself as a pioneer of "kinetic coffee philosophy" and a coffee investment enterprise. However, recent news indicates that Fun Coffee is operating as a scam syndicate. Hong Kong and Macau police have arrested eight individuals in connection with the scheme, which has defrauded over 200 people of nearly HK$100 million (US$12.75 million). The total reported losses have climbed to HK$104 million, with 225 complaints received. A Hong Kong lawmaker has warned that the number of victims could exceed 1,000, with one investor reporting losses of HK$14 million for her team. The unfolding situation highlights the growing threat of crypto-related investment scams.
