The Inspection générale de la police nationale (IGPN) is the French national police's internal affairs body. A man named Flavel has filed a complaint with the IGPN, alleging that he was subjected to deliberate violence by police officers during an arrest on March 16th, which occurred amidst urban unrest targeting the local municipal police station. Witnesses filmed the incident, and the footage reportedly shows police officers striking Flavel. Flavel claims he was asphyxiated during the arrest. The prosecutor of Meaux has stated that the arrest followed the aforementioned urban violence.
