A JetBlue flight experienced an engine failure during takeoff at Newark Liberty International Airport, leading to a temporary disruption of air traffic and an emergency landing where passengers evacuated via slides. Furthermore, a JetBlue flight from Curacao to New York's JFK narrowly avoided a mid-air collision with a U.S. Air Force refueling tanker over the Caribbean. The JetBlue pilot attributed the near-miss to the military plane crossing their flight path.
