Junts per Catalunya

Junts per Catalunya (Together for Catalonia), often referred to as Junts, is a Catalan separatist political party in Spain. They advocate for the independence of Catalonia from Spain. Junts is currently newsworthy due to their opposition to the Spanish government's recently approved housing decree, part of a larger package of measures designed to mitigate the economic effects of the war in the Middle East. Junts has stated they will vote against the decree, accusing the government of "posturing" and implementing a "privatized social shield" where the costs are borne by small property owners.
