Lincoln Project

The Lincoln Project is an American political action committee formed in late 2019 by former Republicans who opposed the re-election of Donald Trump. Co-founded by figures like George Conway, its aim was to prevent Trump's re-election and defeat Trumpism. The organization gained prominence through its targeted advertising campaigns and social media presence, often criticizing Trump's policies and character. The Lincoln Project is newsworthy due to co-founder George Conway's recent announcement that he is running for Congress as a Democrat in New York's 12th congressional district. This move highlights the shifting political landscape and the continued opposition to Trump within some conservative circles. Conway's decision to run as a Democrat underscores the ongoing realignment within American politics and the enduring relevance of anti-Trump sentiment, even after Trump's departure from the presidency.
