The Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) is the department of the Government of Spain responsible for designing and implementing the government policy on fight against climate change, pollution prevention and protection of natural heritage, biodiversity, forests and sea. It is also responsible for the water and energy policies, as well as for overcoming the country's demographic challenges.
